ASG Airsoft Rail Mount Bipod Review

ASG Airsoft Rail Mount Bipod Review

Supplier:

Item was supplied From Actions Sport Games (ASG). There communication was slow at 1st due to a dead email link or a technical problem. Once I finally got my message to them they responded extremely quickly to make up for lost time due to the previous problems. All emails were answered and max time I had to wait was 2 days.

Packaging:

The item was well packaged in with the other items on the order. All excess space was packed with extra packaging to avoid movement in transit. All items came in good condition with no damage to the box.

Postage:

The postage was via UPS surface and came within 3 days of shipping. I received an email within minutes of the items being submitted to UPS to be collected. I then managed to track its every step online. I worked it out that it travelled 1600KM via land in 3 days.

1st Impressions:

Nice heavy construction, well built. A few screws were loose but that’s simple to check. One thing I did notice was the clamping screw was bent (didn’t effect the use but could prove problems later on)

Usability:

The Bipod does not have any tilt control so using it on a bolt action sniper rifle would not be very suitable; however using it on a DMR type rifle would make this a perfect bipod to use. The quick and sturdy deployment of the legs would enable you to move about a bit and not have the legs moving away from the down or even the up position. This fits onto any 20mm RIS rail attachment point.

Conclusion:

The bipod is extremely nice with a good amount of adjustment. I think it would be made better if there was tilt control but then it wouldn’t be as simple as it is.

The RIS rail mount makes this ideal for rifles such as the SR25 or an SPR.

Ratings:

Usability: 9/10

Value for money: 8.5/10

Construction: 8/10
