ASG Blaster Devil 0.25g review

ASG Blaster Devil 0.25g BB’s Review

Supplier:

These were supplied Directly from ASG warehouse in Denmark as soon as they received stock of the BB’s from the manufactures. All communications were fantastic as always and I highly recommend there services and products.

Packaging and shipping:

.Packaged well in the shipping box and dispatched using UPS, the ammo took 3 days via land to get to me but was actually ahead of the scheduled delivery date of Monday rather than today which is Friday.

First Impressions:

These bb’s look fantastic, there seems to be no giraffes in the bottle, no seam marks no injection marks. All the rounds are highly polished and free of contaminants.

Rifle test:

Test rifle was an standard internals Star SL8 firing 320fps with 0.20g BB’s,

Magazine used was a mid capacity magazine; the sample bb’s were loaded into the magazine with a speed loader. The first magazine all the bb’s went straight, until the hop dropped off at about 35-40meters (no adjustment to the hop on first firing). Fine tuning the hop I managed to get the range past 45m with these but no more than 50/55m.

Next I tested there consistency on a target at 25meters. The same magazine was used. The groupings achieved for 5 initial shots were 4” groupings from the standing unsupported position. The following 5 shots achieved 3” in the kneeling semi supported position, On fully auto 10 shots hit within 5”. I managed to get some torso sized accurate shots at 40meters where only 1 shot missed but with 50 meters being 1 in 2 shots hitting the target.

Consistency testing:

I’ve tested a random sample of  the Devil 0.25g bb’s

random batch of 3000 rounds supplied from ASG, random 100 bb’s from packet (bought in June 2009)

here are the results:

5.94mm

Range is from 5.93mm to 5.95 which is a variance of 0.02mm

so the bb’s are 5.94 +/- 0.1mm.

I then did a weight test of another random batch with the results as follows
I used a grain scales but they kept fluctuating on grain due to not having a flat surface

so I put 100 bb’s on that were dry and not humid from being handled.

I got 25.05g

so that’s an average of 0.2505g per bb.

Conclusion:

In conclusion these 0.25g bb’s are decent quality with no manufacturing flaws, no contamination or miss-shaped giraffes. The consistencies of the shots are excellent. The consistencies of the tolerances of each bb are fantastic. They are within the promised +/- 0.01mm. For the price these are some of the best 0.25g’s I have seen.

Rating:

Quality 9/10

Accuracy 9/10

Price 9/10

Consistency 10/10
