ASG Blaster Devil 0.28g review

ASG Blaster Devil 0.28g BB’s Review

Supplier:

These were supplied Directly from ASG warehouse in Denmark as soon as they received stock of the BB’s from the manufactures. All communications were fantastic as always and I highly recommend there services and products.

Packaging and shipping:

.Packaged well in the shipping box and dispatched using UPS, the ammo took 3 days via land to get to me but was actually ahead of the scheduled delivery date of Monday rather than today which is Friday.

First Impressions:

These bb’s look fantastic, there seems to be no giraffes in the bottle, no seam marks no injection marks. All the rounds are highly polished and free of contaminants.

Rifle test:

Test rifle was an Upgraded Maruzen Type 96 firing 450fps with 0.20g BB’s, the sample bb’s were loaded into the magazine with a speed loader. The first magazine all bb’s went straight as a laser line for about 50 – 60 meters.

Next I tested there consistency on a target at 25meters. The same magazine was used. The groupings achieved for 5 initial shots were 3” and then the following 5 shots produced a 2” grouping supported with the bipod.

Consistency testing:

I’ve tested a random sample of  the Devil 0.28g bb’s

random batch of 3000 rounds supplied from ASG, random 100 bb’s from packet (bought in June 2009)

here are the results:

5.94mm

Range is from 5.93mm to 5.95 which is a variance of 0.02mm

so the bb’s are 5.94 +/- 0.01mm

I then did a weight test of another random batch with the results as follows
I used a grain scales but they kept fluctuating on grain due to not having a flat surface

so I put 100 bb’s on that were dry and not humid from being handled.

I got 27.55g

so that’s an average of 0.2755 g per bb.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, these are a great compromise between 0.25 and 0.30g bb’s, these will work well in rifles under 450 fps but over 350fps. They are more accurate than I thought they would be after testing the Madbull equivalent. The accuracy of these would make good ammo for DMR style rifles with power below 450fps. I did have a couple of fliers when I was setting the hop but once the hop was stable there were no fliers.

Rating:

Quality 9/10

Accuracy 9/10

Price 9/10

Consistency 9/10
