Madbull Precision 0.25g Match review

Madbull precision 0.25g match BB’s

Supplier:

The BB’s were supplied directly from Madbull themselves; these were in small 1000 round sample packs.

Packaging and shipping:

Item came well wrapped in a sturdy cardboard box, inside were the 13 sample packs with the extra space padded with packaging. Item was sent express and was delivered by Parcel Force.

First Impressions:

My 1st impression of the bb’s were that they looked well made, opened the packet and removed a bb’s it was nicely polished, no contaminants on the round, No seam lines, no waxy content and could not see any miss-shaped round. I was really well impressed with these on 1st impressions and hoped the test firing and consistencies hold up to the expectations.

Rifle test:

Test rifle was an standard internals Star SL8 firing 320fps with 0.20g BB’s,

Magazine used was a sniper magazine; the sample bb’s were loaded into the magazine with a speed loader. The first magazine all bb’s went straight as a laser line, until the hop dropped off at about 50meters after fine tuning it. (more range is achievable but the round would be in a arc shot, this was tested with a perfectly level flight until the hop seized to perform)

Next I tested there consistency on a target at 25meters. The same magazine was used. The groupings achieved for 5 initial shots were 6” groupings with the rifle in the standing unsupported position. With the rifle in the semi supported kneeling position the groupings were tightened up slightly to 5” of the centre mass. With full auto the accuracy stayed good with all shots hitting the target with groupings of 7” maximum that was for 3 shots the other 7 were in the 5” groupings. Max range these were accurate at was 50m with a full torso hit possible.

Consistency testing:

I’ve tested a random sample of the Madbull 0.25g Match bb’s

random batch of 1000 rounds supplied from Madbull, random 100 bb’s from packet (bought in April 2009)

here are the results:

5.92mm
Range is from 5.90mm to 5.95 which is a variance of 0.05mm

so the bb’s are 5.925 +/- 0.025mm

I then did a weight test of another random batch with the results as follows
I used a grain scales but they kept fluctuating on grain due to not having a flat surface

so I put 100 bb’s on that were dry and not humid from being handled.

I got 24.80g

so that’s an average of 0.2480 g per bb.

Conclusion:

Great results from this bb, great accuracy, great range, great groupings, weight was slightly under 0.25g and the consistencies were slightly less that the 0.20g but over all these perform better. For the money these are great. If you want a 0.25g bb these would be the ones to get, but if you want to spray with these, it might be a bit costly.

Rating:

Quality 9/10

Accuracy 9/10

Price 7/10

Consistency 8/10
