Madbull Precision 0.25g Tracer review

Madbull precision 0.25g Tracer BB’s

Supplier:

The BB’s were supplied directly from Madbull themselves; these were in small 1000 round sample packs.

Packaging and shipping:

Item came well wrapped in a sturdy cardboard box, inside were the 13 sample packs with the extra space padded with packaging. Item was sent express and was delivered by Parcel Force.

First Impressions:

My 1st impression of the bb’s were that they looked well made, opened the packet and removed a bb no visible seams were on it and was polished but not as much as the precision ammo. Leaving the ammo in the light for a few minute then going into a dark room these glow well and fairly bright, overall in the bag there was no giraffes, no contaminants and the ammo had no waxy coating like some of the heavier weight precision bb’s.

Rifle test:

Test rifle was an standard internals Star SL8 firing 320fps with 0.20g BB’s,

Magazine used was a sniper magazine; the sample bb’s were loaded into the magazine with a speed loader. The first magazine all bb’s went straight as a laser line, until the hop dropped off at about 40meters.

Next I tested there consistency on a target at 25meters. The same magazine was used. The groupings achieved for 5 initial shots were 10” standing unsupported. The following 5 shots were 7” semi supported in the kneeling position. On full auto the grouping were 15” max with most shot within the 10” grouping.

Consistency testing:

I’ve tested a random sample of  the Madbull 0.25g Tracer bb’s

random batch of 1000 rounds supplied from Madbull, random 100 bb’s from packet (bought in April 2009)

here are the results:

5.93mm

Range is from 5.90mm to 5.94 which is a variance of 0.04mm

so the bb’s are 5.92 +/- 0.02mm

I then did a weight test of another random batch with the results as follows
I used a grain scales but they kept fluctuating on grain due to not having a flat surface

so I put 100 bb’s on that were dry and not humid from being handled.

I got 24.10g

so that’s an average of 0.2410 g per bb.

Conclusion:

The accuracy with these is the best so far of all the lower weight BB’s I have tested. The range is good, the glow of is visible well for a reasonable range. Good value for money. I would recommend these over the 0.20g because the extra weight gives a good compromise of range for the better accuracy.

Rating:

Quality 8/10

Accuracy 8/10

Price 8/10

Consistency 8/10
